RTSynth is a fantastic, midi event triggered, realtime software synthesizer developed by Stefan Nitschke. It is one of the few physical modeling approaches to audio synthesis for Linux in which the waveform of the sound generated is computed by using a mathematical model. Harrison Mixbus is a fantastic piece of software, a modern DAW that gives you the “traditional” analog mixing workflow. But there seems to be a thing that bites with Ubuntu Studio 18.04 and 18.10. I had a problem with Harrison Mixbus version 5 and 5.1 (new update). Harrison Mixbus crashes during the starting phase, after selecting the Jack driver. Which is strange as Ardour 5.x seems to work fine. This is how I fixed it…
